IlustrasiJOMBANG – Sesosok mayat berjenis kelamin pria ditemukan di hutan Wonosalam, Kabupaten Jombang. Jasad setengah bugil itu ditemukan dengan keadaan leher terjerat tali tambang yang dikaitkan pada pohon.
Kondisi mayat nyaris tidak bisa dikenali lagi karena telah membusuk. Di sekitar penemuan mayat juga tak ditemukan identitas apapun.
Kapolsek Wonosalam AKP Hariyono mengungkapkan, mayat pertama kali ditemukan oleh warga sekitar.
“Ditemukan sekitar pukul 07.00 WIB, pagi tadi,” ujar Kapolsek, Minggu (8/1/2023).
Ia mengatakan, awalnya warga mencium aroma kurang sedap tak jauh dari penemuan mayat. Setelah ditelusuri, bau busuk tersebut mengarah ke dalam hutan Wonosalam.
Benar saja, warga kemudian terkejut saat mendapati sesosok mayat terduduk di bawah pohon dengan keadaan leher terjerat tali tambang yang dikaitkan pada pohon dan hanya mengenakan celana dalam.
“Diperkirakan sudah meninggal lebih dari seminggu,” lanjut Hariyono.
Meski jasad sebagian sudah hancur, namun bisa diprediksi usia mayat tersebut sekitar 25 tahunan. Mayat kini sudah dievakuasi ke kamar jenazah RSUD Jombang.
Hariyono belum berani memastikan apakah mayat tersebut merupakan korban bunuh diri atau pembunuhan.
“Kami juga berencana melakukan otopsi kepada jenazah korban, sehingga nanti akan diketahui kepastiannya,” tutupnya.
